Missed out on Chennai tickets? You were not alone. The first batch of tickets for the BBL opener at Chepauk sold out in about half an hour after Chennai tickets went on sale on 10 October.
The demand says a lot about this match. On 12 December, the Renegades face the Perth Scorchers at the M.A. Chidambaram Stadium in the first BBL game ever played outside Australia. It is the first fixture on the full BBL 2027 schedule.
More tickets are coming
Cricket Australia says it will release more tickets in the coming weeks, so fans who missed out should keep an eye on the District by Zomato app. Our BBL 2027 tickets guide covers how to book. First-release tickets started from ₹1,500, and the priciest seats, the air-conditioned C Hospitality Boxes, were listed at ₹6,000.
The match doubles as a test case. The Renegades are the first BBL club up for sale after Cricket Australia approved private investment, and a packed house in Chennai would be a strong advert for the club.
