Sydney Thunder Land Three New Sponsors for BBL 16

Thunder fans will spot new logos on the shirts this summer. Sydney Thunder have wrapped up three sponsorship deals ahead of WBBL|12 and BBL|16, covering appliances, social impact and clean energy.

Australian appliance brand Omega has signed on as the club’s Official Appliance Partner for two seasons. Its logo goes on the back of the WBBL shirt and the front of the BBL shirt this summer, moving to the back of both kits from 2027-28 (official club announcement).

The club also expanded its social impact partnership with Plate It Forward and renewed its deal with clean energy company Green.com.au as its Official Energy Partner.

The deals bring LED signage at ENGIE Stadium, match-day fan activations, player appearances and co-branded retail promotions. For fans, that means more off-field content and a livelier match-day experience.

And the money matters too. Sponsorship cash helps clubs keep squads strong and tickets affordable. Thunder’s men open BBL|16 against Adelaide Strikers in Canberra on December 16, then come home to ENGIE Stadium for the Sydney Smash against the Sixers on December 19 — see the BBL 2027 schedule and how to watch every game. David Warner and co will be running out in the new-look shirts.
