Playing Style
Stoinis is a right-handed power hitter who clears the ropes with ease, especially down the ground. His medium pace is deceptively effective in T20 cricket — he hits the pitch hard and bowls clever slower balls at the death.
BBL Career
Stoinis has been a Star for most of his BBL career and took over the captaincy to lead the club’s hunt for a first title. He holds the record for the highest individual BBL score — an unbeaten 147 — which shows his ceiling on his day.
What He Brings to BBL 2027
As captain, Stoinis leads a refreshed Stars squad featuring Finn Allen and the Overton brothers. His own all-round form will be crucial — when Stoinis contributes with both bat and ball, the Stars look like a different team.
