Adelaide Strikers open their WBBL|12 campaign today at home, taking on the Melbourne Stars at Karen Rolton Oval. First ball is at 9:40 AM PKT (3:10 PM local).
- Venue: Karen Rolton Oval, Adelaide
- Start time: 3:10 PM local (9:40 AM PKT / 10:10 AM IST)
- Match: WBBL|12, Match 4
It’s not just a game — the Strikers are hosting a Halloween Spooktacular. Gates open from 1:50 PM local with trick-or-treating, face painting, a best-dressed contest and family entertainment before the cricket.
The Strikers have named a 12-player squad led by captain Tahlia McGrath. England batter Maia Bouchier is in line for her Strikers debut, joining Laura Wolvaardt and Sophie Ecclestone in a strong international core.
The Stars won’t roll over. They opened with an 18-run win over defending champions Hobart Hurricanes — Meg Lanning smashed 71, Annabel Sutherland hit 57 and took 3-34. That’s the form side of round one.
