Ben Stokes is coming back to the Big Bash. The former England captain has signed with Adelaide Strikers for BBL|16.
Stokes last played in the BBL 11 years ago for Melbourne Renegades. He has since retired from international cricket.
At Adelaide, he will work with head coach Tim Paine — his old Ashes rival. The 35-year-old adds serious all-round depth to the Strikers squad.
Adelaide also signed New Zealand batter Mark Chapman for the season. England all-rounder Jamie Overton left the club to join Melbourne Stars.
